Jordan Michael Shelby, 18, has attended gifted and talented schools in Gary, IN since preschool. His interest for music started at home when his mother enrolled him and his twin brother (James) in piano during the summer of 2011. Jordan’s piano lessons started with playing with instructor, Sherry Hamby.
While attending Emerson Visual Performance Arts, being taught by music teacher, Judith Neville, Jordan’s love for music increased. Jordan’s GPA is 2.8 and he has won multiple gold ISSMA medals. He has also won the Talent Hunt Competition in 2015-2016 representing ALPHA CHI chapter of OMEGA PSI PHI of Gary, IN. Jordan enjoys playing the piano, basketball, video games and spending time with his family. Jordan plans to attend Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN studying Music Education, Music Theory and Music Performance.
