News: Alpha Chi Chapter builds Wheelchair Ramp

On Saturday, November 4, 2017 the Brothers of the Alpha Chi Chapter provided the needed labor to build a wheelchair ramp for a disabled senior citizen in Gary, Indiana. The project was coordinated by Brother Victor Thornton. The temperature at the start of the build was 24 degrees. However, the weather was no match for the seven Alpha Chi brothers thoroughly immersed in the true Omega Spirit. The installation took approximately 9 hours to complete. The mother and her son thanked the Brothers of Alpha Chi for all of the planning and work that went into building the ramp on her behalf. The Brothers of Alpha Chi have historically played a major role in assisting elderly citizens in the City of Gary during their time of need. Some past projects have included landscaping during the spring and summer and snow removal during the winter. We strive to improve the quality of life of the people in our communities.
